Loved this boston terrier cutout. My coworker did a great job finding a simple image that translated well to cake, and really made this as cut as it is.
Yes, this is an accordion cut out cake. Being the big dork I am, I was excited to do this. I mean, how often do you get to do an accordion cake? I can’t remember seeing one before at my work at least.
I was a little unsure of these colors in this style. Red black and white are quite nice together, but with this floral design, it seemed a bit harsh, but I was pleasantly surprised.
These are pretty easy to make, just using a medium sized leaf tip, and keeping the petals small. I also kept the round shape by first using a circle cutter to mark each flower before piping.
Some more insanely cute cupcakes and smash cake from this weekend. I’m loving this idea for a 1st birthday. I’m also always a fan of cute sea life, so I’m loving these.
Just some cute cupcakes I did for my sister. She needed just a couple cupcakes for her friend’s birthday, with a simple, yet elegant monogram. While it might not be as noticeable in the picture, the letters are black while the dots are grey.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love doing logos. So when this Hermes box cake came up and I was asked to do it, I was thrilled. Although it’s not 100% like the logo (I was asked to match another cake), I’m still pleased with how it came out. It seems like it would go well with the logo cupcakes I posted a few weeks ago.
I love this fun set of cupcakes with a bunch of round little animals all over them. The design was based off of a cake we did, but the customer wanted them on 50 cupcakes. In addition to that they wanted a new product we were selling, a smash cake. These are pretty knew, and they’re already turning out to be popular, which isn’t very surprising, they’re super cute.
This weekend I was honored to be asked to make a cake and cupcakes for an art opening at this wonderful gallery/store near my called Monkeyhouse Toys. When I found out the theme was deserts, I jumped at the chance.
She asked me to make a bunch of flourless chocolate cupcakes, plus a small cake shaped like an ice cream sandwich. I loved this idea, and I’m so happy with how it came out. Also, since there was a bunch of dessert themed art, I ended up buying 2 paintings for myself, which I love.
I also had to add the At-At painted like an ice cream truck, even if I couldn’t afford it.
I wrote something about this cake, but stupid tumbler decided to erase everything I wrote, so instead I’ll just say I like this cake, but I forgot the A in “birthday”.
Just a fun idea for a red carpet/hollywood/celebrity themed party. I will say tho, if you notice, the bottom boarder is 4 bead boarders, one on top of the other. This was a big pain, and we’re hoping that doesn’t happen again.
